( 6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies discover the world in a unique way.  At Caterpillar International Academy, our infant play areas are designed to give our smaller students the safe, nurturing environment they need to stretch their body and brain for future learning. Each classroom is continuously supervised by a team of professionals. Our rooms are meticulously clean and soft enough for the most discriminating little hands and feet.

Toddlers

Age 2

Our toddler program builds on our infant program to provide a safe, fun environment for children ages 2 years old. Our activities and educational materials are designed so that every child can explore and expand their physical, social, cognitive, and language abilities based on their individual stages of development. We help every child build strong self-esteem, problem-solving skills, and friendship in our anti-bullying curriculum. Take a look at what we have to offer you and your child.

Pre-Kindergarten

Age 4

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and writing displayed around the room.  Labels are everywhere to help kids connect letters with words.  You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families in our community.  At Caterpillar International Academy, we put safety first to protect our families and staff.

In pre-K, your child will practice how to write their name. You’ll start to see it all over their artwork! We will also use letters and drawings to describe things like people, places, experiences, and feelings.

Social skills are a big focus in Pre-K as your child gets ready for kindergarten. Your child will work on talking through big feelings and resolving conflicts with words. They’ll also talk about themselves and their families, and learn about each other’s similarities and differences.

Inside a Pre- Kindergartner's Day!

Your preschooler’s classroom will follow a daily rhythm. No matter what play and learning activities they’re engaged in, preschoolers always come together for group time, to play outside, and to enjoy healthy meals with one another.

Group Time

Group time happens every day in each of our classrooms. For pre-kindergartners, teachers use this time to talk about the day or read a book before they move on to child-directed math, literacy, or small-group activities!

Meals & Snacks

Every day, prekindergartners sit down to a meal with healthy fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. We never serve juice or fried foods!

Outdoor Playtime

Most of our classes spend 45 minutes outside twice a day, weather permitting. In addition to unstructured playtime, prekindergartners will do things like draw maps together, stretch or play games!
